The V-Laser is a state of the art laser machine that delivers outstanding results in treating vascular skin conditions among other pathologies. The advanced technology that goes into the making of the V-Laser allows the treatment to be extremely accurate in targeting specific skin pathologies while protecting the surrounding healthy tissue. Vascular skin conditions are conditions that arise from abnormal blood vessels running in and under your skin, such as varicose veins, rosacea, spider angiomata, and others. The laser usually bombards these dilated vessels with high energy that they become obliterated and disappear.
Lasers have been used for some time in the treatment of many skin conditions ranging from birthmarks to persistent scars. The reason why laser therapy is so appealing is that it’s not invasive and causes less pain and downtime compared to other treatment options (like surgery in varicose veins).
What Skin Conditions does the V-Laser treat?
The V-Laser can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions, especially those caused by abnormal cutaneous blood vessels. These conditions include:
- Facial redness
- Angiomas (Like cherry angiomas)
- Varicose veins (In the legs)
- Spider angioma
- Birthmarks (Like port wine stain)
- Pigmentation concerns such as freckles or sunspots
The device also incorporates the GENESIS method to rejuvenate lax skin in a non-ablative, non-invasive mechanism. This method promotes collagen production by delivering gentle heat pulses to deeper layers of the skin, restoring its natural texture and firmness. This method can also be applied to fade out scars as it gently softens redness and remodels the collagen of newly formed scars.
Are Vascular skin conditions common?
Yes! The numbers do vary, however, depending on age, gender, and many other factors. One of the most frequent conditions is rosacea. Millions of people live with rosacea without even knowing they have it. It presents mainly with facial redness and flushing that becomes more noticeable after having alcohol, spicy foods, or coffee. Cherry angiomas are also a very common skin lesion. They are tiny red moles that are frequent especially in middle-aged individuals, with more than 85% of those aged over 45 having them. Other common vascular skin conditions include spider angiomas and varicose veins.
How does V-Laser work?
The V-Laser emits a high power laser beam with a choice of wavelengths of 532 and1064nm and it has numerous adjustable parameters altered to fit your condition and specific skin type. Laser beams work by delivering light energy at a specific wavelength, targeting a specific component of your skin. When the laser hits the targeted component (e.g small blood vessels in the case of V-Laser), it’s converted into heat energy, and the component is obliterated. For example, shorter pulses can be used to target superficial lesions, like spider angiomas and skin redness, while longer pulses can be used to target deeper components, like varicose veins.
What are the advantages of V-Laser over other laser machines?
Adjustable spot size, pulse duration, fluence, and frequency ensure accurate targeting of the skin lesion being treated. This precision of the V-Laser ensures that only the targeted lesions are destroyed, while the remaining components of your skin remain unharmed. The device is excellent in treating skin conditions caused by blood vessel disorders, like rosacea, angiomas, and varicose veins. Moreover, the numerous adjustable parameters allow it to be equally effective in treating general skin conditions, such as scars, pigmentation concerns, and birthmarks.
How is the procedure performed?
No numbing cream is required. Your clinician will ensure prior to your treatment that you are a suitable candidate. Dependent on what is being treated the laser sessions can last from as quickly as 5 minutes to 20 minutes. When treating red conditions such as rosacea, a hot flicking sensation will be felt over the area, sometimes multiple passes over the area are needed. After the treatment a cold pack is applied to soothe any warmth or heat felt in the skin. When treating broken capillaries, the individual capillaries are targeted with an extremely small spot size and a tiny flicking sensation can be felt with a tingling feeling afterwards. These treatments are very tolerable and any discomfort felt is short term. When the genesis component is being used, a calming warm sensation likened to warm water droplets can be felt over the skin. This can be quite a relaxing treatment.
What will you experience after treatment?
It’s normal to feel a mild burning sensation in the treated area.. This sensation should not last more than a day at most. You might also experience some swelling and bruising for the first couple of days, but these will improve quickly. Some patients also report temporary blistering and brown spots appearing in the treatment zone. This all depends on the type of treatment performed and your clinician will advise you of what to expect after the treatment prior.
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions needed is highly variable from patient to patient depending on skin type, and size, depth, and color of the lesion being treated. Lesions that are superficial, such as small spider veins, are easier to treat and patients might notice skin improvement after their first session.
Whether it’s rosacea, skin redness, spider veins, varicose veins, scars, or another skin condition, the V-Laser can help treat all these conditions easily with the latest technologies in skin treatment. Easy application, maximal safety, minimal discomfort, and high precision all make the V-Laser a top-line laser machine. The V-Laser will help in removing colour irregularities from your skin so that you can regain a natural healthy glow.

5 Common Skin Conditions that can be treated by the Wontech V-Laser:
The V-Laser is a versatile device that’s excellent in treating both vascular and non-vascular conditions.
Rosacea is a common skin problem that happens due to abnormally dilated blood vessels under the skin of your face. The main complaint of people with rosacea is facial redness, however, the condition can also cause swollen red bumps in the face that may resemble acne. Some people also experience eye swelling and redness as well. Facial redness may become more noticeable after drinking alcohol or eating spicy foods.
The V-Laser works by bombarding the tiny abnormal vessels in rosacea causing them to disappear. After treatment, you should regain your natural skin color without any imperfections.
2- Spider angiomata
Spider angiomata, also known as spider naevi or spider veins, is another vascular skin condition that is easily treated with the V-Laser. The problem arises when the tiny capillaries and vessels that are very close to your skin become dilated and tortuous. The reason why they are called spider veins is that they appear like small spider webs on your skin, with fine tortuous veins radiating from a central point. They are usually red, blue, or purple in color, and may be individual or appear in clusters. Spider naevi are most frequently seen on the legs, face, and neck, however, they can appear on any part of your body.
People who have spider angiomata usually complain of the cosmetic appearance only, however, uncommonly, spider veins can cause pain or itching in the affected area, especially if they’re on your legs and you’ve been standing all day. If you have spider naevi and would like to have them removed, laser therapy is usually the most efficient option. The V-Laser is specifically designed to target vascular skin lesions and making them disappear.
3- Varicose veins
Varicose veins most commonly happen in the legs, however, they can be seen in any region of the body. They appear as large, twisted, bluish vessels that tend to bulge from under your skin. Veins usually have valves that help blood move towards the heart. When these valves fail for any reason, blood starts to pool inside them causing them to become enlarged. Pregnancy, obesity, and standing up for long periods of time are all risk factors for developing varicose veins. Varicose veins can be a mere cosmetic problem, however, they may cause discomfort, pain, and itching and may even rupture or ulcerate in more severe cases. V-Laser can treat smaller and less severe varicose veins successfully over several sessions. However, severely enlarged varicose veins may require surgery to completely remove.
Birthmarks are very common skin lesions that appear at birth or soon after. There any many types, and they come in any size, shape, or location. Many birthmarks disappear as we grow up, however, some may persist to later years of life. There are mainly 2 types of birthmarks: vascular and pigmented:
- Pigmented birthmarks: This happens when melanocytes (pigment cells) overgrow in a certain area of your skin. Some common pigmented birthmarks include moles, cafe au lait spots, and Mongolian blue spots.
- Vascular birthmarks: These include conditions like salmon patches, hemangiomas, and port-wine stains. The problem underlying these conditions starts in the blood vessels under the skin.
Laser therapy can be used to treat both pigmented and vascular birthmarks very efficiently.
Scars are the way our skin heals itself after injury, acne, burns, or surgery, however, the appearance is not always delightful. Many treatments are available to lighten scars and make them fade in with the surrounding tissue, however, not everyone responds the same. Laser therapy is excellent in lightening scars with minimal downtime and fast results. The V-Laser treats scars in a non-ablative method, and rather lightens scars by stimulated collagen production and cell regeneration. Cells that are stimulated under the scar produce the same color as the rest of your normal skin, and stimulating their growth will help the scar fade and become more noticeable.
Different skin conditions are caused by different mechanisms. The V-Laser is a very diverse machine that’s highly adjustable to treat a multitude of skin conditions in all skin types. The V-Laser can treat vascular and non-vascular skin conditions and may be used to rejuvenate lax skin and restore the natural firmness and tome.
